ABOUT
Crimson Dynasty
Based in St. George's, Grenada, Crimson Dynasty is a 2018 Leopard sailing catamaran built by Robertson and Caine in Cape Town, South Africa. At 48’ long and 25’ wide, you will love the way she takes on the ocean! Stability and shallow draft allow her to do ocean crossings or cruise in the shallow coastal waters. She is equipped with a mainsail, a genoa and an asymmetric spinnaker as well as twin 57 HP Yanmar diesel engines. A dinghy is provided for access from the boat to the shore, docks, and other boats.
With a focus on safety, Crimson Dynasty has radar, AIS (automatic identification system, to see other boats in the area), an upgraded navigation system including moving map with approved landmarks, buoys, marinas, etc., an upgraded, heavier anchor for better holding in numerous types of sea floors.
The inside of Crimson Dynasty is set up for an exquisite experience. There are two private staterooms, each with a queen size bed and ensuite bathroom/shower. The salon dining table can be lowered to make a king size bed. Three separate zoned air conditioners will keep you comfortable during the mornings and evening while not underway. During the sailing portions, saloon area windows and doors can be opened to enjoy the amazing ocean breezes. Other comforts include water maker, two refrigerators, a freezer, stove, oven, ice maker and stereo.
The exterior of the boat will make you forget about your life on land. The rear cockpit has multiple sitting areas and includes a dining table that will seat eight. The front of the boat has an additional front cockpit that seats six. At the very front is the amazing “trampoline," a netted sitting area that will get you close to the waves. It is an awesome vantage point to watch porpoise swim alongside and in front of the boat.

Captained by a career pilot with over 45 years of experience in emergency procedures/crew resource management, over 50 years operating boats up to 61 feet, and four licenses from the US Coast Guard. We approach charters with intentional focus by relying on experience and attention to details that are paramount to safety.
Empower
Guests are invited to learn the basics of sailing a catamaran, as well as skipper the boat, help raise the sails, and dock the boat, if interested. We empower our guests to learn new skills while relaxing and broadening their horizons.

Adventure
Half day and sunset charters are four hours, full day is eight hours, and weekend charters depart Friday morning and return Sunday afternoon. Our 5-10 day charters are scheduled according to your desires. We create cultural experiences that spark adventure and strive to exceed each guest’s expectations.
Personalize
Intimate day/sunset sailing charters for up to 12 guests; weekend and overnight charters are limited to four guests; complete with activities, food/beverage selections and amenities that are designed for an exotic couples getaway as well as celebrating a special occasion with a small group of friends.
MEET YOUR CREW
Captain Les Yates has over eight years and 10,000 miles underway, including ocean, near coastal, coastal and lakes. He has operated vessels in the Atlantic, Caribbean, Mediterranean, Bahamas, US coasts and the Caribbean since 1970. He has Captained and crewed catamarans up to 61 feet since 2011. After more than 30 years in dental hygiene, First Mate/Chef Shawn traded scrubs for sunshine and life aboard Crimson Dynasty. Her healthcare background, along with training in CPR and emergency response, naturally carries into the care, attention to detail, and calm presence she brings to every charter.
Working closely with her husband, Captain Les, Shawn helps tailor each experience to the guests onboard - from the pace of the day and preferred activities to meals, timing, special requests, and those little details that make a trip feel effortless. Whether guests are looking for a peaceful escape, an adventurous day on the water, or a little of both, her focus is always on safety, hospitality, cleanliness, comfort, and exceeding expectations.
She loves hosting alongside Les and creating unforgettable memories - not only for their guests, but together as they live this adventure.
When Crimson Dynasty isn't chartering, you'll often find Shawn and Les searching out new anchorages, discovering local restaurants and hidden gems, exploring island communities, and meeting the people who make the Caribbean so special. When they're away from the boat, their favorite destination is wherever family and longtime friends happen to be.

On your charter, you will get the best of both worlds of sailing: beautiful scenery, fun and relaxation paired with the luxury of having a Captain and First Mate guiding you on the cruise of a lifetime.
Captain Les will be in charge of conducting a safe, friendly and educational experience. First Mate Shawn will assist him as well as tend to your food, beverage and recreational needs.
